Second skin

Many of you asked me how to wear leather. Many of you told me that besides wearing a leather jacket or accessories (shoes, purses or gloves), you find it very difficult to incorporate leather in your everyday outfit. It’s true, leather is a very delicate fabric, and you have to be careful when it comes to mixing and matching, but it’s not as hard as it looks. When it comes down to picking a dress, a skirt, why not a jumpsuit or a trench coat, you will see that no matter what you choose to wear, that leather item will be the focus of your outfit.

Today I went for a pair of leather bell-bottom trousers that I fell in love with from the first time I laid eyes on them. The leather’s advantage is that it can be combined with different textures. This time I’ve chosen to go for a warm grey sweater, which is both contrasting and give balance to the strict cut of the trousers. I tried to avoid leather shoes, thinking that the purse was just enough, and I went for a pair of sports shoes, which are not just comfortable, but also gives the outfit a playful note with all of the sobriety given by the black and grey colour scheme.

Things are starting to look a lot easier when it comes to leather, right, les filles? I encourage you to try items from this fabric that at first sight may seem difficult to approach but you’ll see that in no time, the leather will become your second skin, a hopeful friend.
