Mes cheries, you already know that I only recommend the events that I also like going to. That’s why today I will be writing about AUTOR, the international contemporary jewelry fair, that is going to happen this weekend in Bucharest. It’s one of my favourite events, because it’s the place where talented people come together under the same roof, Romanians, and not only.
I love going to AUTOR, to walk between the jewelry stands, to stop and listen to the stories told by the artists that create them, to get to know them and watch how their hands give birth to unique, beautiful, authentic accessories – author’s jewelry.
This year, Autor is being held at Grand Hotel du Boulevard, one of the iconic buildings of Bucharest, which was called, once upon a time, for good reason, Little Paris. I’ve seen a few pictures of the renovated insides of the hotel and I fell in love with it.
I will see you then at AUTOR, Saturday and Sunday. It’s the best time of the year to meet over 150 jewelry artists. In fact, it’s the only time of the year.
