The harmony of contradictions

I find funny, some style patterns, that we’ve come to adopt without even thinking and how we try to keep without even questioning ourselves. Matching your purse with your shoes, never have more than one pattern in your outfit, you can’t wear more than three colours. And believe me, the list goes on. Designers are trying, season after season to prove us wrong, but we still hold on to our beliefs. We complied to what our mothers and grandmothers taught us, without thinking that back in the day, they didn’t know much about fashion, and most of all, what was in fashion then, now you can call it antiqued.

Honestly, that’s what I had in mind when putting together today’s outfit. I’ve let myself driven by the wonderful sun, that wants to prove to us that December is no longer how it used to be. Be brave, les filles! Try, fail, perfect yourselves. The ultimate test, if you ask me, is in front of your mirror. That moment when you’ve put together your outfit and look at yourselves in the mirror and fill that something’s not right, it’s not the figment of your imagination, it’s the truth. So start again. Deconstruct, remove some elements, add others, and the moment you will look again in the mirror and say to yourselves ‘’This is it!’’, you’ll be more than right. You’ve come to reach that absolutely perfect outfit, which is dying to be shown off on the city streets. It’s so easy, isn’t it?
