Beyond appearances

We live in a world who puts price on appearances. We don’t skip any mistake done in the public environment, and if we could, we would slip right into the culprit’s home. Maybe, maybe we could put together more evidences in order to constrain and squeeze with the door that individual. We would go through their wardrobe, to recognize. Only the clothes we wear became reasons to arouse envy. Not to mention we hang our bags on the back of chairs’ in restaurants like legit trophies. But, when nobody sees us, we go to museums in tenis shoes, dressed neglectful. And I would’t even bother bringing up the subject, if we spoke about people, who dressed like this daily. Wouldn’t be fair to the artists and for us to actually give a little more attention and we strive for better?! From where I stand, I don’t agree with solemn (sober) looks, even if the location might impose this code through it’s grandeur. We don’t have to quit our personality, but only to adapt to the situation.

PS: You’ve probably, already recognize in the picture Le Petite Palais. Between February 24th and May 24th, it takes place the ‘Les Bas-fonds du Baroque, la Rome du vice et de la misere’ exposition. An exposition which proposed to show a different setting rather than the beauty that we usually associate seventeenth-century Rome.
