I’ve always been fascinated by perfumes and brands that wrote history in this department. The world of essences that create new emotions is so beautiful that most of the time I surprise myself floating in a wonderful olfactory world, searching for stories, discovering essences.
Jean Patou is one of my favourite perfume brands – and, also, the name of a favourite store in Paris, on Rue Saint-Florentin no. 9. Renowned for his spectacular creations, Jean Patou left us a series of perfumes with special history, related to some special events – JOY and the 1000 perfumes and SUBLIME are three of my favourite.
Created in 1992, Sublime is the olfactory interpretation of today’s woman – intelligent, radiant, feminine. A rich perfume, from the Ambre Floral category, Sublime is a cocktaile# made out of oranges that is perfectly combined with notes of ylang ylang from the Comoro Islands. The warm middle notes are essences from lilly of the valley, rose, jasmine and vetiver, sandalwood and oak moss.
Sublime’s sensuality is subtly enhanced key note of vanilla. I love each and every element from this enchanting fragrance and i love much more the Jean Patou essence created, with much care, after many hours of tests of the permufers.
