I just finished a conversation on the phone with Bianca, my Project Manager, who is going this evening to a baby shower and she was a little afraid that the future mom won’t like the present that she got. “A blue cardigan doesn’t really fit to a little girl, does it? ”, she asked me many times.
Oh well, feeling that she was very stressed and agitated, I told her my opinion that colors aren’t divided in two fixed categories: for girls and for boys. Girls can easily wear shades of blue, and boys can be as delightful as they are wearing red or even a pink T-shirt, why not?!
In 2015, I’d like for us to stumble less on these sort of judgments. I am very delighted that Ilona doesn’t judge shades or fashion items from the perspective of those well-set rules of society. She easily goes from a skirt to jumpsuits with short pants, and if she likes a button-up shirt, she doesn’t think it’s blue and would fit her brother better.
