Even if it’s cold outside, I find it hard to convince Ilona to give up her summer dresses that she loves. But why should she? I also find a big amount of pleasure by wearing some summer pieces during winter, and she obviously noticed that. What can we do when the little ones want to wear summer clothing, but the thermomether stubbornnes to stay negative. We then teach them the first lesson of style for winter: layering.
Like in our case, layering is a life saver for kids in the winter. Not just because it looks so good, but also because it will be a real challenge for them to choose the layers, and also because they are the perfect fit when changing temperatures in environments – from the crisp cold outside, to the warm rooms in kinder garden for example. When they get too warm, they lose a layer, when they get cold again, they put it back, that easy. And everyone’s happy. This way, Ilona can wear her favourite dresses, knowing that she has to put on a cardigan, a warm jacket and by all means very warm pantyhose or tights.
