You’ve probably noticed how different kids nowadays are, compared with how we used to be at their age. When I was four years old, tablets were inexistent therefore I couldn’t write Santa Clause that I want one. Just as I would have never thought to add to my letter that I want mom and dad to be healthy, like Ilona asked me to tell Santa until she learns how to write. And my little girl is not the only exception. Every mother that I talk to, is surprised of how deep their daughters can be, at a such an early stage of life. They are amazed by the lightness of their socialization skills, the determination with which they expresses their preferences starting from the culinary ones up to the fashion style or the serenity they have when they directly tell what they believe about you, the people around them.
Sarah, for example, is my friend’s daughter. She is 6. She knows exactly what she likes and dislikes. And us, as parents, can’t do anything but truly encourage such an attitude. Especially that in a Store like Bonpoint, choosing a dress transforms expressing an opinion into a game. When you argue with them, you learn that they can’t always be right.
Sarah would definitely not give up her dolls for a photo shoot (joy!), but the time spent at Bonpoint was an experience that she enjoyed. She was able to play while she was looking for the dress that she liked, trying in the Golden Goose shoes, which are exclusively created for Bonpoint. And … I felt a kid again!
